Welcome Bookworms! Readers Are Leaders Bookmobile was created in December 2001 to bring quality books at bargain prices to children everywhere!
Deb Zack, owner and elementary school teacher, along with Hooper, Deb's Pound Puppy and Vice President of Public Relations, wants to get kids as excited about the bookmobile as they do the ice cream truck! Good boy Hooper! Good boy.
Although our main mission is to get kids hooked on reading, by making books affordable and accessible to all, the bookmobile offers a percentage of total sales as a fundraiser to organizations. The bookmobile is stocked with children's books, all discounted up to 60% off retail prices! Yes, a fundraiser where the price of the product is not inflated. In addition, there is no work on your part... we do the work and you get the money!
What will I find on the bookmobile?
The bookmobile is stocked with children`s books for readers ranging from infants to teens. Chapter books, science, sports, math, multicultural, religious, start to read books, toddler board books, teacher resources books, puzzles and much, much more are always stocked on the bookmobile. Inside you will find carpet, lights, air/heat, custom oak shelving and a handicap accessible ramp.
How does it work?
Very simple. . . we do the work and you make the money! The bookmobile offers school wide book fairs, as well as site visits to just about everywhere imaginable in Central Indiana. If the bookmobile can fit. . . Readers Are Leaders can be there for your event! Simply call or submit a request . The bookmobile shows up, kids and/or parents come on the bookmobile and browse through the selections. Patrons purchase if they desire and at the end of the event your organization receives a percentage of all sales in cash or books. Reschedule the bookmobile to your site on a consistent basis and watch your profits grow, as well as see the excitement on the children`s faces when they revisit Readers Are Leaders and realize that the bookmobile is a special place for them to browse through a book and learn something new!
